Last weekend I spoke (well emailed) with Dutch photographer Marjon Hoogervorst about her beautiful images from her collection 'spaces' ... I particularly liked this image above, because my husband and I often discuss the possibility of placing different Persian rugs next to each other... the first time we saw this was of course in the home of Charles and Ray Eames, I'm not sure this is the way I would do it, but the image does convince me how nice it can look!

Everyone should have a go-to-cake.
By go-to-cake I mean a cake you can whip up on short notice and that always taste great.
This chocolate cake is just that, super easy, fast and yummy.
Try it, it might become your cake as well.
The heart on top is just make with a heart cut of paper and placed on top of the cake.
Then sift some powdered sugar on top and gently remove the paper.

This gorgeous image by talented Dutch photographer Jeltje reminded me this morning of my idea to create a space for a swing too ... although I won't be asking my husband to hang one inside, ours will be hanging outside, I like it very much how the owners of this home have done it here...
