Ach! More perfection in a pair of earrings. These particular beauties are by jewelry artist kristine bolhuis and I must admit they make my heart race a little quicker. Even though these wall stickers by kapitza are designed to be taken apart and reconfigured tastefully on your wall, they're also pretty terrific left on one sheet. I could imaging cropping out the info on the bottom, framing the sheet up in an affordable Ikea frame and voila, groovy silhouetted botanicals ready for display. Dear Shaded Viewers: I fell in love with this rug the first time that I saw it. It reminds me of my grandmother' s house. Last week when I was talking with my friend Matteo he told me that he had taken some pictures in Serguei' s house, I asked him if could I post them here and he sent me these images. The Conscious Forms collection by Junior Phipps shows this British designer having fun at the intersection of form and function. Each of his light and speaker designs take on tactile and curvaceous forms, but these shapes also help them to function in flexible ways. Take the Egg Acoustic for example, which looks more like a Brancusi sculpture than a speaker. It's made from layers of plywood carved into a form that clearly wants to be handled and so it should be.
