Wow. How's this for a pop of color in fall/winter? I like the simple but bold print on this Marc by Marc Jacobs Night Blossom silk twill dress. (I'm noticing a lot of MbyMJ's apparel is looking more sophisticated right now but not "old")

I was searching for some John Barrymore pictures when I stumbled across this shot.
Looks like the best Dazed & Confused cover  for a long time.
Even if the concept might appear as simple and the result looks "so now", it's nothing less than the most sophisticated lovechild of a hippy and a zombie, like a re-interpretation of the sixties by Tim Burton.

Love how the sequins on this dress by Yaya Aflalo don't appear to be super shiny, and give it just kind of a sheen like leather. The racerback also gives it a nice twist

I think I'm just really drawn to asymmetry... Chunky Fisherman's cardigan by Les Prairies Des Paris. Looks so comfy yet not sloppy

As the Middle Class Dissolves, Do Mid-Priced Brands Go, Too?

juicy bag carrier.jpgOver the past few years, it seems like "luxury" has become the new standard. We remember a time when the $200 jeans we now own would have made us think there was a typo on the price tag, and the $800 boots we’re considering buying would have seemed like a practical joke.

And while there have been a lot of complaints about oversaturation in the market ($275 headband, anyone?) it looks like what’s even considered luxury might change once again.

The luxury market is splitting.  read more »

Alexander McQueen Corsage Sandals

Alexander McQueen Corsage SandalsI hate pansies, wall flowers that only fall away from the wall when they see something stronger they want to cling to, to support them.

Boring blossoms like that get tossed away in a day.  read more »
